Dealing with Anger
Anger is a natural emotional reaction. The causes of anger vary from person to person and from situation to situation. Everyone feels angry sometimes. And everyone has a right to feel that way. Anger is a feeling and isn't good or bad; it's what you do with your angry feelings that count. In fact, there are many positive outlets for anger. Such positive uses of anger include motivating change, solving problems and reacting quickly in a crisis situation.
However uncontrolled anger can cause problems such as:
* Problems with family and friends
* Problems at school or on the job
* Legal implications
Uncontrolled anger can lead to aggression.You may lose control and attack others verbally and physically. Managing your anger is an important skill and it involves:
* Identifying what triggers your anger
* Learning how to calm yourself
* Finding healthy ways to express your anger without losing control and hurting yourself or others.
If you have trouble handling your anger you can learn ways to keep cool and stay in control when you get angry. Learning what sets you off is important . Once you are aware of these things you can work to change the way you respond. It is important to find healthy ways to express your anger:

* Name the problem
* Use "I" statements
* Identify solutions
* Ask for help when you need it.
